xx Palm Tree Forum Transplanting juvenile coconut palms
on: August 23, 2011, 12:57

I have a beachfront location in a coconut grove with mature coconuts about three stories tall. I want to plant some dwarf coconuts as well. I have access to the dwarf coconuts for free. They are growing on the waterline. I want to take the ones that are sprouting from the coconut but found they have usually one or two roots already anchoring them. Is is safe to break or cut this root. Will these very young coconuts send another root when I transplant or will this kill the young tree?
