Hello my plant is getting yellow spots on the leaves with very dry brown spots in the middle of the leaves.
The soil is well drained and I have given it proper palm fertilizer. I have tried watering every 1 week, I have tried every 2 weeks there is no water that sits or pools in the soil, I mist daily and it is in an area with lots of light but no sun light.
It is growing like crazy but some of the shoots have brown patches on the leaves before they even fully develop.
It appears healthy but it is not perfect. I fertilized 1.5 months ago with an indoor plant fertilizer and then I fertilized again with granular one week ago.Can anyone help.

How do you have the palm planted?

How does it drain? Does it sit in water?

My indoor plants are in the same nusery pot that I purchased them, with a flat plastic green tray/saucer under it. I place all that into a larger nice ceramic pot. This allows me to view how much water is in the saucer. If I watered too much, then I use a turkey baster to suck up extra water.

HI I hope you can helpme I have about 6 Kentia Palms
and I have grow lights in the celing avove the plants.about 8ft. above the plants. Everything will be fine and then one day one or two of the plant stems start to turn yellow. Also I've experienced very dry spots in the middle of the leaves. So dry that it flakes if you pinch it. Yet on either side if the dried out spot the leaf will be nice and green to the left and right of the dried out spot. I read that the yllowing can be from a magnesium deficiency, I tried chelated Palm sprayed
on the leaves and put in with the water. I think it's slowing down the yellowing. Trying to get the watering right is a real problem. I've even killed several palms by watering them. After watering the plant turns brown and dries up and dies, that quick. Any advice??
thank you, Mitch Faber
